Singapore - The Lion City.

Singapore officially the Republic of Singapore, is a sovereign city-state and island country in Southeast Asia. It lies off the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula and is 137 kilometers (85 mi) north of the equator. The country's territory consists of the lozenge-shaped main island, commonly referred to as Singapore Island in English and Pulau Ujong in Malay, and more than 60 significantly smaller islets Singapore is separated from Peninsular Malaysia by the Straits of Johor to the north, and from Indonesia's Riau Islands by the Singapore Strait to the south. The country is highly urbanized, and little of the original vegetation remains. The country's territory has consistently expanded through land reclamation.

Average Weather and Climate in Singapore

Singapore has a tropical climate. The eastern monsoon brings the driest weather (June to September), while the western monsoon brings the main rains (December to March). Rainstorms can occur all year. Singapore experiences very warm, sometimes humid weather throughout the year, especially along the coastal areas.

Underwater World, also known as Underwater World Singapore Pte Ltd, is an oceanarium located on the offshore Singaporean island of Sentosa. Opened in 1991, it has more than 2,500 marine animals of 250 species from different regions of the world

The Tiger Sky Tower, previously known as Carlsberg Sky Tower, is the highest observation tower in Singapore. It is located in the Imbiah Lookout zone in the centre of Sentosa Island.

The Sri Mariamman Temple is Singapore's oldest Hindu temple. It is an agamic temple, built in the Dravidian style.

The Peranakan Museum is a museum in Singapore specializing in Peranakan culture. A sister museum to the Asian Civilizations Museum, it is the first of its kind in the world.

The Singapore Botanic Gardens is a 156-year-old tropical garden located at the fringe of the Singapore's main shopping belt. It is one of three gardens, and the only tropical garden, to be honored as a UNESCO World Heritage Site
